Benzalkonium Chloride for Textile Antimicrobial Finishing

Application on fabric
Antimicrobial finishing typically applies 0.05%–0.2% BKC on dry fabric weight after a pad-bath application, followed by drying/curing. The cationic quat has natural affinity for negatively-charged fibres, giving durable-to-wash antimicrobial and odour-control performance and a soft hand.
Formulation and compatibility
Textile brands formulate pad-bath concentrates from BKC 80% (typically 10%–50% in the bath formulation). Combine with nonionic wetting agents; avoid anionic auxiliaries that would deactivate the cationic quat. Confirm wash-durability and skin-contact compliance for the end use.
